President's Message
I am Don Moran of PEPCO and I am the
newly appointed president of the Electrical League of
Ohio. I would like to welcome the 2011 board of
directors and announce Dan Nitowsky of Mars Electric as
our new vice president.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank past president, Lou Gatto of Gatto Electric for
his many years of hard work and support. Over the years,
we saw many great events under his leadership.
What an exciting time for our industry,
region and the Electrical League! Cleveland has
started a construction boom with the Medical Mart &
Convention Center, a Casino on the Cuyahoga River and
East Bank Flats development project. Our association has
capitalized on these projects by offering great speakers
to present as part of our Prominent Speaker Series.
My colleagues and I are busy planning
the Electro Expo 2012, scheduled for March 20th 22nd.
The Electro Expo 2012 Connecting the Industry is
gearing up to be one of the best trade shows we ever
had! Within the next several weeks, information will be
available on exhibiting, distributor sponsorship,
corporate sponsorship, opening night reception at the
Rock Hall and Museum and attendee registration.
Electrical League events are just a few
opportunities to support our industry. At times, we may
become overwhelmed with responsibilities at work and at
home. But we need to step back, and review the
obligations we have to ourselves. By participating in
League functions, we gain the knowledge and liberty to
strengthen not only ourselves, but our companies, and
the industry as a whole. Our organization offers you a
chance to network and enhance your business. Please
consider attending a League speaker event, educational
class or our annual golf outing.
The Electrical League appreciates your suggestions, and
welcomes your input on how we may strengthen our
organization. Hope to see you at an upcoming League
event!

Moran of PEPCO and nephew of Kelly Moran of Tec, Inc.
IAN MORAN finished 4th place in the country for his age
group (age 10) at the US Speedskating Nationals held in
Wisconsin over the weekend of March 12-13th. What an
incredible accomplishment and congratulations to the
Moran Family from the Electrical League of Ohio and the
entire industry!
